How to Use This Worksheet

Step 1: Enter your current line parameters — number of manual insertion stations, shifts, operator cost, and output volume.

Step 2: Select the target auto insertion machine type (S4000, S-3010B, or S-70LD).

Step 3: Select your target operator-to-machine ratio (default 1:4).

Step 4: Click “Calculate” to see your annual savings, headcount reduction, and staffing comparison.

All calculations use published CPH for Southern Machinery auto insertion machines:

• S4000 Axial Insertion: 20,000 CPH — axial resistors, diodes, jumpers
• S-3010B Radial Insertion: 22,000 CPH — capacitors, LEDs, transistors, DIP
• S-70LD Odd Form: Custom CPH — transformers, connectors, relays
